Things Coming Down The Pipline

Hello everyone!

Sorry for my 4 week absence on here.  Having a cracked rib (and yes, when I fell on the boat bringing Topher aboard, I did indeed crack my rib) kinda took the fight out of me these past few weeks.  That's not to say there haven't been some fun developments.  And of course, this beautiful weather has inspired me!

First announcement that I'd like to share with you all ... THE FUEL TANK IS IN!!!!  But ... before you get all excited, I still need to have a mechanic come out and make sure I put everything together right.  I figure if it can start a fire, I'd better have a professional look at it.  Problem is ... I CAN'T FIND A FREAKING MECHANIC! I can not believe how difficult it is to track down a boat mechanic.  I have called 5 (five) different mechanics and every single one of them has either flaked out, not called back, or told me they'd "put me on their books for next week" to never be heard from again.

To any mechanics out there ... if you are reading this, please contact me.  I will link to your website and give you the most amazing review on this blog if you get my boat ready to sail ASAP!  All the boat needs is an engine tune up (11hp Diesel Yanmar), the fuel tank grounded and secured (just really need someone to tell me the best way to do this), and a general look over to sooth my paranoia.  Frustration can not even describe how amazed I am at how hard it is to get someone to come out to my boat for just a few hours and make a few hundred bucks.  Unbelievable.

The second fun announcement I'd like to share is a really fun one!  My friend, Adam (Seth), and his production crew are ready to start filming the webisodes for the blog!  Over the past 2 weeks we have had multiple meetings (involving bars and beers) and have hashed out a rough outline and shot list for the first episode.  We've set the filming dates for a few weeks from now, provided I FIND A FREAKING MECHANIC by then.  So, hopefully by mid July there might be a pilot episode on the blog for your viewing pleasure :)

I'm very excited for the next few weeks.  I apologize if I am a bit absent from posting here as much of my free time is being spent writing for the episodes, researching topics, FINDING A FREAKING MECHANIC, and nursing my still hurting rib.

Please keep sending your support and your emails as they help fortify my motivation to keep chuggin' along.

Until Next Time
~Adam
